Nanuque (MG) - On May 31, 2026, the city of Nanuque was the stage for a great demonstration of love for one's neighbor through the Bom Samaritano Humanitarian Mission, promoted by the Social Assistance Department of ASMIN. Held at the Vindilino Lima State School, the initiative brought together dozens of volunteers and professionals from various areas to offer free care to the population, bringing care, shelter, and hope. The missionary program began on Friday with moments of spiritual preparation, praise, and lectures focused on the purpose of Christian service. On Saturday, participants dedicated themselves to prayer, training, and dissemination of the action through the streets of the city, inviting residents to participate in the services. On Sunday, the school opened its doors to receive the community, offering a wide variety of free services. Throughout the day, 881 services were provided, benefiting 270 people, including children and adults. The action included nursing, dentistry, law, psychology, therapy, nutrition, facial aesthetics, massage, chiropractic, haircuts, chaplaincy, and recreational activities for children. Among the highlights of the mission, 250 nursing services, 180 chaplaincy services, 110 services in the areas of therapy and nutrition, 84 massage and chiropractic services, 65 haircuts, 44 aesthetic services, 34 dental services, 18 legal services, and 16 psychological services were recorded. The children's space also received great participation, welcoming around 80 children during the program. In addition to the social impact, the initiative achieved important spiritual results. Over 120 people expressed interest in receiving Bible studies, demonstrating that the mission fulfilled its purpose of uniting practical assistance and evangelism. According to the estimate presented by the organization, if all the services provided were commercially contracted, the investment would exceed R$ 80,000. However, all assistance was offered free of charge thanks to the voluntary work of professionals and members committed to the mission of serving. With the slogan "Doing good, without looking at who", the Bom Samaritano Humanitarian Mission left deep marks on the Nanuque community, showing that solidarity, combined with Christian love, continues to be a powerful tool for social and spiritual transformation. The initiative reinforced ASMIN's commitment to providing not only care for human needs but also the message of hope found in Christ Jesus.
